Families across Salt Lake City and the surrounding Utah communities have trusted Aviation ABA with their children's growth. Here is what some of them have shared about their experience with our team.
Think about how much of childhood actually happens at school. Circle time, lunch with friends, group projects, recess, raising a hand to answer a question. For many children with autism, these moments are exactly where extra support can make the biggest difference, and yet they are also moments that are hard to recreate anywhere else. School based ABA therapy meets your child exactly there, in the classroom, during the parts of the day where it counts most.
Our school-based ABA therapy is available at select privately funded preschools, daycares, and private schools across Utah. It is worth knowing that most public schools in Utah do not allow outside ABA providers due to how school funding and insurance are structured. However, many privately funded programs do welcome outside ABA support, and this is where we are most commonly able to help. Availability depends on your child's specific school and their policies, and our team will work with you from the start to find out whether it is possible.
None of this happens in isolation. Our BCBAs stay in close communication with teachers, school staff, and you as a parent, so that the strategies being used in the classroom line up with what is happening at home and in any other therapy your child receives. The goal is simple, a school day that feels less overwhelming and more full of small wins.
School based ABA therapy means a trained behavior technician works with your child during the school day, inside their actual classroom and school environment. Rather than pulling your child out for a separate session somewhere else, support happens in real time, during circle time, group work, transitions between classes, lunch, and recess. These are the moments where social and behavioral skills are most needed and most naturally practiced.
Applied Behavior Analysis is the most extensively researched intervention available for children with autism, and bringing it into the school setting closes a gap that many families feel deeply. A child might do beautifully in a one on one therapy session but struggle to bring those same skills into a noisy classroom with twenty other kids. School based therapy bridges exactly that gap.
Our school based ABA therapy program is designed specifically to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Every plan reflects your child's individual goals and classroom environment, because every school, every classroom, and every child is different.
Coordinating ABA support within a school setting involves a few extra steps, and we are happy to walk through what that process looks like for your specific school. Reach out and we can talk through what might be possible for your child.
Bringing ABA support into the classroom creates advantages that are hard to replicate anywhere else.
Classrooms are busy, social, and full of transitions, exactly the situations many children with autism find hardest. School based therapy puts support directly into those moments, rather than trying to recreate them somewhere else.
Our team stays connected with teachers, school staff, and parents, so the strategies your child practices at school reflect what is happening at home and during any other therapy. Everyone is working from the same playbook.
No two children at Aviation ABA follow the same therapy plan. Every program starts with a thorough assessment by one of our BCBAs, who uses the results to build a treatment plan that reflects your child's unique strengths, goals, learning style, and what matters most to your family. As your child grows, the plan grows with them.
At Aviation ABA, parents are never on the outside looking in. We keep you closely involved through regular progress updates, parent meetings with your child's BCBA, and practical coaching on how to carry therapy strategies into your everyday routines at home. When you feel confident and informed, your child moves forward faster.
Everything we do is grounded in the science of applied behavior analysis, the most extensively researched and endorsed intervention for children with autism. Our BCBAs bring clinical expertise and evidence-based strategies to every session while making sure the experience always feels warm, engaging, and genuinely child-centered.

If you've spent any time navigating the world of autism services in Utah, you know the frustration: long waitlists, providers who feel distant, programs that treat your child like a case number. We built Aviation ABA because families in Utah deserve better than that. Here's what makes us different:
From the very first session, our therapists invest in genuinely getting to know your child, their sense of humor, what lights them up, what they find hard. Real progress starts with real trust, and we work every day to earn it. Your child will look forward to coming in.
Our BCBAs don't pull programs off a shelf. They sit down, learn your child's story, and build a treatment plan from the ground up around your family's goals. Every session is tracked. Every milestone is measured. And every plan evolves as your child grows.
When you've made the decision to get your child help, the last thing you need is to sit on a waitlist for months. We work hard to move thoughtfully and without unnecessary delay, so your child can start making progress when it matters most.
We're the kind of team that answers the phone, remembers your child's name, and treats every conversation like it matters, because it does. No runaround, no voicemail black holes. Just real people who care about your family.
Children don't grow by following instructions in a chair. They grow by exploring, imagining, and doing things they love. That's why we build therapy around your child's natural curiosity. When a child is genuinely having fun, they're also learning their most important skills. That's the environment we create every single day.
We're not a national chain trying to run a clinic in Utah from a corporate office somewhere else. We are Utah. Our therapists live in the same neighborhoods, drive the same roads, and are invested in the same communities as your family. That connection matters.
From morning circle time to afternoon recess, take a look at the kinds of moments our team supports inside classrooms across Salt Lake City.
Aviation ABA works with families and educational teams across a wide range of Utah communities, coordinating directly with local schools to bring ABA Therapy services right into the classroom. We currently serve schools across the following counties:
Whether your child attends a public school, a charter program, or a private school, reach out and let us know where they are. We will work with you to figure out whether school-based support is possible in your child's specific setting.
Setting up school-based ABA support involves a few extra steps compared to home or clinic therapy, but our team handles most of the legwork. Here is how it works.
Start by getting in touch with our team. We will learn about your child's current school situation, their needs, and whether school-based ABA therapy sounds like the right fit. This first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Our team verifies your insurance benefits, handles prior authorization, and prepares whatever documentation your child's school may need to allow our RBT access. We do this with you, not around you, keeping you in the loop throughout.
Our BCBA reaches out to your child's school team to understand the classroom environment, meet the teacher, and review any existing IEP or behavior plans. This collaboration is what makes school-based support work well rather than just adding another layer of services.
Once everything is in place, your child's dedicated RBT starts working alongside them during the school day. Progress is tracked, goals are reviewed regularly, and our BCBA stays in ongoing communication with both the school team and your family.
Ready to take the first step? We would love to hear from you.
Aviation ABA accepts most major insurance providers in Utah, including Medicaid, Molina Healthcare, Regence BlueCross BlueShield, CHAMPVA, PEHP, Health Choice, University of Utah Health Plans, and more. Navigating insurance for ABA therapy can feel overwhelming. We're here to make it simple, we'll help you understand your benefits before your child's first session.

School-based ABA therapy raises some specific questions that are worth addressing head on. Here are the ones we hear most often from families in Utah.
It depends on the school. Most public schools in Utah do not allow outside ABA providers due to how school funding and insurance are structured. However, many privately funded preschools, daycares, and private schools do welcome outside ABA support and this is where our school-based service is most commonly available. Our team will work with you to find out whether your child's specific school is a good fit, and if it turns out school-based therapy is not an option, we will help you think through what other service models might work best for your child.
Our RBTs are trained to support children in a way that feels as natural and unobtrusive as possible. The goal is always for your child to feel like a full part of their classroom, not singled out. How visible support is can vary depending on your child's needs and the classroom setup, and this is something we are always happy to talk through.
Yes. Many children receive school-based ABA support alongside speech therapy, occupational therapy, or special education services. Our BCBAs are experienced working alongside other providers and school teams to make sure everyone is working toward the same goals without duplicating efforts.
Yes. School-based ABA therapy is a covered service under most major insurance plans when a child has an autism diagnosis, and Utah state law supports access to these services. Our team handles verification and authorization on your behalf and will confirm your coverage clearly before anything starts.
Yes, and it usually works best that way. School-based ABA support is designed to complement, not replace, other services your child receives, whether that is clinic-based ABA, in-home therapy, or speech and occupational therapy. Our BCBAs coordinate with other providers to make sure everyone is working toward the same goals with a consistent approach.
No. We do not operate a long waitlist for school-based services. There are a few coordination steps involved in setting up classroom support, but we move through those as quickly as possible so your child does not spend more time than necessary without the help they need during the school day.
School-based support is most powerful when it is part of a bigger picture. Many families combine classroom support with in-home therapy or parent training so that progress at school carries through every part of their child's day. Take a look at what else we offer.
