Client Rights

Aviation ABA Therapy is committed to protecting the rights, dignity, and safety of every client and family we serve. All clients receiving services through Aviation ABA Therapy are entitled to the following rights in accordance with Utah Department of Health & Human Services requirements.

Clients have the right to:

  • Be treated with dignity, respect, and consideration at all times.
  • Be free from potential harm, abuse, neglect, mistreatment, exploitation, violence, or fraud.
  • Be free from discrimination of any kind.
  • Receive services in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Communicate and visit with family members, legal guardians, attorneys, clergy, physicians, counselors, or case managers, unless therapeutically contraindicated or restricted by court order.
  • Privacy and confidentiality of both current and closed records, in accordance with HIPAA and state law.
  • Be informed of Aviation ABA Therapy policies and procedures that affect the client or guardian’s ability to make informed decisions regarding care.

Clients and guardians have the right to receive clear information regarding:

  • Program expectations and requirements.
  • Mandatory versus voluntary aspects of services.
  • Consequences of non-compliance with program policies.
  • Reasons for involuntary termination of services and criteria for possible re-admission.
  • Program service fees, billing practices, and insurance requirements.
  • Safety features and characteristics of the physical environment where services are provided.
